It's My Park Day, November 6 at Highland Neighborhood Park or Reilly Elementary

We have two It’s My Park Day events in Highland this year: “Feed the Oaks” at Highland Neighborhood Park, and mulch, plant, and weed at the Reilly SEL garden. The events are both on November 6, from 9 AM to 12 PM. Come meet your neighbors and do something for your neighborhood.
What is “It’s My Park Day?”
It’s an annual event sponsored by the Austin Parks Foundation (APF) that takes place on the same day at different parks all over the city. It’s a day people all across the city volunteer to improve their neighborhood parks. APF provides the items necessary for the project, and coordinates with volunteers and organizers. You just have to sign up—space is limited to 15 at Reilly and 25 at Highland Park.

What should you bring?
Tools are provided, but if you have an extra shovel, rake, or wheelbarrow, bring it if it’s not too difficult. Work gloves are good, too. Bring some water, and most of all, be ready to do some work and meet your neighbors!
