Highland Neighborhood Sustainability Committee - 01/22/20
The Highland neighborhood Sustainability was established in June 2019 with the goal of supporting neighborhood initiatives around urban sustainability. Our goal is to foster community engagement, as essential to creating environmental resiliency, by bringing educational/community events and design interventions to our neighborhood. We strive to help make our neighborhood an example of sustainability as an established neighborhood in Austin.
Current projects:
Reilly Park SEL Garden, funded by a generous grant from the St. Davids Foundation, in collaboration with AISD, PARD, Watershed, and University of Texas department of design, and PT2050.
Denson Drive beautification: collaboration with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Committee Goals: Identify opportunities in our neighborhood for small projects and events that will raise awareness of sustainability in our neighborhood and as it relates to our city.

Reilly Park
Highland Park
Waller Creek
